Summer Camp: A site where care and activities are provided for children during the summer months/weeks. A place where you make connections and long lasting friendships with new people and have a great time. This is exactually what happen during my time at the Auburn Journalism Summer Workshop. I met great new people, made the best friends and learned alot about journalism that I didn't know before. Many seminars were provided for us. Some were really exciting, but I have to admit a good amount of them were extremely boring. Before arriving I expected the very least of this camp. I thought it was going to be a waste of a week. I also thought that I wouldn't make any friends and would have to do everything alone. I was completely wrong. I learned new tips on improving my writing, made great relationships, and got a really good inside look at the Auburn University campus. Thanks to this workshop I will continue to look into video/broadcast journalism and maybe even decided to major in it. I was certain I was going to major in Pharmacy, but know I am having doubts and thinking I want to do video/broadcast journalism. If you ask me, I would definitely recommend this camp to anyone even if they aren't interested in writing.
