What starts as a simple date for an ordinary highschooler might just turn into a night of “extra” fun.
Yearly, almost one million young women under the age of 20 get pregnant in the U.S. That figures to nearly 2,800 daily. Many see sex, whether it be with or without protection, as just a thing to do when you have an excess amount of hormones built up in your body.
More and more teens are becoming unaware of who they are having sex with and the danger they are putting themselves and others in. Joe and Sue might have sex tonight, but Joe just had sex two nights ago with another woman, and the night before that she had sex with a man, and so on and so forth.
In the U.S. alone, one in every four sexually active teens becomes infected with an STD. The problem with teen pregnancy in society is that teen childbearing costs U.S. taxpayers $7 billion a year for social services and lost tax revenue, according to www.soundvision.com/Info/teens/stat.asp
Do you want to pay more and more money per year for a simple night that can be resolved through a little sex education? Let’s resolve teen pregnancy: WEAR A RUBBER!
